The shape reveals the origin: Baltic Sea
The shape of Baltic Sea beach chairs appears to be very soft and curved. Our model "Classic" embodies many of the characteristic elements of the original design, which goes back to the seaside resorts of the Baltic Sea. 
Straight lines and square appearance - the North Sea shape
Typically you will find this variation on the isle of Sylt as well as along the rough beaches of the North Sea. The models "Basic", "Konsul ®", "Senator ®" and "Präsident ®" all relate to the classic beach chair from the North Sea. 
Second. The alternatives with lying: half-lying-position ("in half-lying position") or full-stretch-out ("Ganzlieger")
From early March till the end of October you may take your sunbath protected from the wind in any of these alternative positions. If you prefer lying on your belly or at the side, a full-strech-out version may be the better solution as it offers a very large space for your relaxing.
For those beach chairs available with a full-stretch-out, footrests with adjustable height are recommended. Hint: our model "Präsident" (manufactured by Sonnenpartner), which is always a full-stretch-out version, includes this feature as standard.
